MAP™ supports Zachman which provides a formal and highly structured way of defining an enterprise. It uses a two dimensional classification models:

• The first dimension represents the perspectives people have on the architecture based on the roles in which they interact with it

• The other dimension represents the questions that address the various facets of each perspective (What, How, Where, Who, When and Why)
